Keep those engines running, queens: RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming back for another lap.
After this year’s sickening RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13, VH1 has announced that a trio of Drag Race titles have been given the green light. The Emmy-winning flagship series, RuPaul’s Drag Race, has officially been renewed for a fierce 14th season that is sure to leave no wig un-snatched.
RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race will be back for a second season with a new roster of stars donning drag for the first time, and Untucked will also be returning for another round of backstage drama.
“I am extremely grateful to all the amazing and talented Drag Race queens — past, present, and future — that continue to inspire us to find new ways to tell their stories,” said RuPaul in a statement. “Through love, light, and laughter, they remind all of us that the most powerful thing you can do is to become the image of your own imagination.”
And these renewals are just for the versions of Drag Race in the United States! As NewNowNext previously reported, RuPaul’s world domination continues with the recent announcement of Drag Race Philippines, joining the ever-growing list of international iterations of the competition series. To date, it has already planted its drag flag in Canada, the U.K., Australia, Thailand, Spain, Holland, and Italy.
There’s no word yet on when the new seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Secret Celebrity Drag Race will sashay onto our screens. Needless to say, our wig glue is ready.
Is it too early to start guessing who will be among the queens to sashay into the workroom next season? We’re not sure, but we can say one thing with certainty: Drag Race fans are staying fed!
