Rose McGowan gets into heavy metal
Back in 1998, Rose McGowan was still dating Marilyn Manson, which may explain why she wore… this.
Here it is from behind.
Many have carried on the legacy of chain-mail gown, including Amber Rose in 2014.
But no one does it like Rose did.
Macy Gray spells it out
Macy Gray has never been a fan of subtlety. In fact, she once released a love song about her trusty vibrator. So it should be no surprise that when she went to the 2001 VMAs she had zero qualms about promoting her new album, The Id.
Like, really, none at all.

Courtney Love interrupts Madonna

After Kurt invited Courtney up to the set, Madonna uttered eight words that will forever live in infamy: “Courtney Love is in dire need of attention.”
What came next was nearly eight minutes of the most beautifully awkward and unstaged television we can remember. Courtney probably didn’t know where she was, but Madonna was, shall we say, not impressed. It’s clear there was some kind of schism between the two, as Courtney hazily attempts to accuse Madge of shit-talkin’.MTV
The interview ends with Courtney on the floor, refusing to sit up in Madonna’s seat. “I don’t want to sit in your chair,” she protested. “It’s like a throne.” (Well, duh.)
